Over the last twelve months or so my business has been hit hard by the recession. I am paid to produce leaflets by all sorts of businesses to promote their company but as you can imagine, in the current climate there are a lot less takers than ever before. Because of this I have unfortunately had to let some of my staff go.
It means, however, that over the last few months I have been totally stretched when it comes to producing leaflets when someone actually does want some done. I normally look after the orienting and design side of things and I did have a dedicated full time writer who I had to make redundant. Since then I have been doing the writing but it really is not my forte!
Luckily I recently came across a website which offers freelancers for one off work. The beauty of this is that I don’t have to commit to paying someone all year round – I can just post my job requirements on the website, and people will come back to me with one off quotes. It also allows me to be selective when it comes to who I choose, and I can match people’s talents to leaflets which suit their style or interests. My business and this site really are a match made in heaven, I only wish that I had known about the availability of freelancers online before – I could have saved myself a fortune!
